Cocoa's Cheese Curds - Seven Weeks

 

Cocoa's Cheese Bros are working to get ready to go to new homes this weekend. Their hard work includes: extra tiring play, long naps, plentiful potty trips outside; and soon they'll have their first baths, first car ride to visit the vet, and first vaccines.

All of the puppies in this litter have been reserved. I anticipate our next litters at Mother Goose Shih Tzu will come in the Spring/Summer 2024.

Cocoa's Cheese Curds - Six Weeks

 

Update (11/26): Pepperjack has been reserved.

Look at these hairy cheese bros! I'm glad they have been working on growing their coats so we can enjoy these sunny 50 degree days outside. This week the puppies have been able to adventure outside a few times, when the weather is kind of warm and sunny. They are very brave and didn't take long to decide exploring outside is a lot of fun. This week they also discovered that wrestling each other is fun. 

They have been doing excellent on their potty pad training and have earned a larger living space. (More accurately a larger sleeping space. When they are awake they usually insist on roaming the kitchen.)

Cocoa's Cheese Curds - Five Weeks

 

This week, Cocoa's puppies have become quite adventurous. All three puppies are very comfortable exploring the entire kitchen. I had to put gates up this week so the puppies wouldn't escape! They have found confidence at a young age and seemed unafraid to follow the big dogs right out of the kitchen. They are starting to play with toys a little bit this week, but really just like to be held and cuddled, and have some chance to stretch their legs and run around.

Cocoa's Cheese Curds - Four Weeks

 

It's been an exciting week for the Cheese Curd Bros. They have been doing a great job learning how to use their potty pad. They are getting better at walking every day and are becoming pretty playful. They have dabbled in solid food and drinking water from a bowl. These boys have already started asking for puppy breaks! (Play time outside of their kitchen pen.) All three boys love to be held and talked to and rubbed behind their ears, but none of them thought picture time was very fun.

Cocoa's Cheese Curds - Three Weeks

 

This was a big week for the Cheese Curd Bros! Not only have they opened their eyes and started looking around, but their ears are open and they are reacting to the sounds they hear... mainly the sound of Momma Cocoa entering their nursery. They have also been experiencing the sights and sounds of our busiest hub in the home: the kitchen. At night, the babies get tucked away into their nursery, but during the day they will be right in the middle of everything. We are so excited for this age. The puppies are becoming social with each other and us, and are so warm and cuddly. Pepperjack is still available.

Cocoa's Cheese Curds - Two Weeks

 

The Cheese Bros are plumping up nicely and have already tripled their birth weight. These guys are always so clean and mellow and calm. Cocoa is doing great with them. They have opened their eyes, but we rarely see their peepers as they sleep all day long. Soon we will introduce them to kitchen life, but for now they continue to sleep and eat and grow in their warm little nursery. Pepperjack and Cheddar are still available.

Cocoa's Cheese Curds - One Week

 

My daughter suggested this litter be named "Cocoa's Cheese Curds" and I think it is perfect for these little, squeaky, round baby cheeses. Cocoa's Cheese Curds turned one week over the weekend and were perfectly behaved sleepy babies for their photo shoot. The boys are doing great and are twice as big as they were at birth. They are expert eaters and navigators, finding Momma or their warm heating pad depending on their needs. If you are interested in a puppy from this litter, please send me an email.
