Daisy's Castaways - Four Weeks

 

Puppies are four weeks old today and have surprised me every day this week with how much they have changed and grown. The puppies are getting better at standing on all fours and have even tried out some mini puppy breaks. They don't stay awake for long, but I think we will be seeing a shift this week.

Pups have had time to work on potty pad training and do pretty well. Still room for improvement. This week they were introduced to solid kibble and water. They watch Momma Daisy eat their kibble and have sniffed around in it a little. This week they'll get some softened kibble to try actually eating.

Daisy's Castaways - Three Weeks

 

Daisy's Castaways are three weeks old today. They have had an exciting week. Shortly after opening their eyes their ears opened. With all of these new senses, it was time to introduce the puppies to the social world and potty pads! The puppies sleep in their cozy nursery with Mama Daisy at night. During the day they are in the kitchen, which is often a buzz with seven people and seven adult dogs in the house! It is quite fun to see their social progress each day.

This coming week we will see what they think about solid/semi-solid food.

Daisy's Castaways - Two Weeks

 

Daisy's Castaways are two weeks old today. If you are watching stories on Instagram or Facebook, you will have seen that these critters have mastered napping and eating. All day, every day! All energy they take in is going into growing.

This week we have eyes from all of our puppies, but one: Professor. The two girls opened their eyes a full day before any of the brothers. Professor is content to hide behind closed lids, but he will be peeking at the world soon enough. This week we should have ears opening, and puppies will begin small doses of socialization in the kitchen. I can't believe they are this old already!

A $300 non-refundable deposit will hold a puppy until 8 weeks of age. The deposit does go toward the final price of the puppy. I will accept Venmo and Zelle transactions, or a check in the mail for deposits.

Daisy's Castaways - One Week

 

Daisy's Castaways will be one week old tomorrow and had a full photo shoot today. Momma Daisy has been taking very good care of babies, and they were all calm and content during their session.

Puppies are not yet available to reserve, but individual pictures have been posted on Daisy's Nursery page. We are excited to watch these babies grow.

Cocoa's Peppers - Seven Weeks

 

Cocoa's Peppers officially love the outdoors. They enjoy playing in the kitchen, but they really love being outside. I am glad we have had a handful of nice days to get outdoors. We are getting into a rhythm of a quick trip outside to potty with a longer break in the kitchen.

Puppies are doing very well on potty pads when they don't have access to the outdoors (although they prefer going outside to potty). They are doing a good job eating their solid kibble and drinking water from a bowl. Their favorite treat is adult dog kibble. For whatever reason, it is a special treat for them, while puppy kibble is what the big dogs prefer.

In the next few days, we will do first baths, first trims, first trip to the vet (and also first car ride!), first vaccine... lots of fun in store before puppies leave with their new families next week.
